1995 Fender Custom Shop Cunetto Relic Stratocaster – Mary Kaye Blonde
This is a first-year Fender Custom Shop relic Stratocaster from 1995, one of the highly sought-after instruments finished by Vince Cunetto before Fender brought the relic process in-house. These early guitars are commonly referred to as “Cunetto Relics” because the aging work was outsourced to Vince Cunetto through the late 1990s.
This example is in very nice cosmetic condition for an original Cunetto relic. The wear is entirely factory-applied, with the authentic dings, checking, and finish aging that made these early relics famous.
This is the desirable Mary Kaye Blonde version featuring the translucent blonde finish, ash body, maple neck, and original gold hardware.
Included are the original tweed case and the complete case candy. The only item missing is the rear tremolo cover (back plate). The original mounting screws are still included in the case.
The guitar sounds and plays great with no playability issues. See demo video. The bass side has a tad more relief than the treble side, but this does not affect playability.
A fantastic example of one of the most collectible eras of Fender Custom Shop production.
