For sale is a 1992 Gibson ES-350T Thinline, an uncommon reissue of one of Gibson’s classic hollowbody models.
The original ES-350T was produced from 1955–1963 with a 23.5” scale length. Gibson briefly reissued the model from 1977–1981 before offering this limited-production version in 1992–1993.
These later guitars feature a 25.5” scale length, giving them a unique feel within Gibson’s lineup. This guitar plays exceptionally well with low action and a comfortable neck.
The guitar is in excellent overall condition with normal player wear throughout. There is some finish wear along the edges of the back of the neck in the area where first-position chords are typically played. The binding has naturally aged to a cream color. There are no cracks, breaks, or structural repairs.
Finished in Figured Tobacco Sunburst, the guitar features a nicely figured laminated maple body with attractive figuring on the top, back, and sides. Specifications include a fully hollow laminated maple body, 25.5” scale length, bound ebony fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays, bound headstock, dual humbucking pickups, Tune-o-Matic bridge, stop tailpiece, and Gibson Deluxe tuners.
An extra set of tuners is included in the case. They appear to be the same style as the tuners currently installed, although I cannot confirm whether they are the original factory set.
The original owner reportedly played it in church. It has been well cared for and remains a very clean example.
The original hardshell case is included. It shows normal wear from use. One latch is missing, and the original locking latch has been removed. Even so, the remaining latches hold the case securely and continue to protect the guitar well.
Overall, this is a clean, uncommon ES-350T that offers classic Gibson hollowbody styling, a full 25.5” scale length, and excellent playability.
