Up for sale is this nice-playing 1982 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe. By the early 1980s, Gibson had moved away from some of the less popular design features of the 1970s, such as the volute behind the headstock, making these guitars a desirable representation of the era.
This example retains the distinctive features of an early-’80s Les Paul Deluxe and has honest player wear throughout. The finish shows typical signs of use and age, but there are no cracks, breaks, or crack repairs.
The guitar is missing the pickguard and switch tip. It has also been refretted at some point in its life. The refret appears serviceable, and the guitar plays well with no significant playability issues. However, you may want to have it perfected and gone over by your luthier.
The guitar could also benefit from a general cleaning, but it is ready to play as it sits.
Priced accordinglyIt comes in Gibson-branded hardshell case that has some wear and tear. All the latches work. There is tape on the outside.
