1942 Gibson J-45 with the coveted banner logo on the headstock.
It has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. This guitar still sports its original finish with natural playwear. It has a nice fat neck that has been smoothly played-in. The tuners have been replaced.
It has that dry, woody tone these guitars are loved for. It’s a great player.
It has been fully serviced with a fresh neck reset and has been refretted. The bridge has been replaced, and some of the braces have been re-glued or replaced. There are several crack repairs. The top only has the ubiquitous pickguard crack under the B string. There are some cracks on the side and a couple on the back. See photos.
The guitar needs nothing and is ready to play right out of the box.
Later hard case.
