Up for sale is this John Cruz Masterbuilt 1963 Telecaster in beautiful Inca Silver Metallic over Sunburst.
Guitar was master built by John Cruz, who is no longer with Fender, but long was considered by many as the best in the custom shop.
See the photo of the floor traveler for more details.
Guitar is labeled as a “1963” but it has a mix of different features as a custom built Guitar. It is powered by a twisted Tele neck pickup and and OGB (original blackguard) in the bridge. The pickups sounds incredible and are a great match. The original pickups are still in the guitar. The neck has a 9.5-12” compound radius giving you the best of both worlds for chords and lead work in the proper places.
The Inca silver finish is offset by an anodized pick guard with a silver hue and a light relic. The neck has a thickness of .820” at the first fret and .890” at the twelfth fret, putting it in the comfortable medium territory. It has a quarter on flame neck with a relic on the back, which makes it quite smooth to play.
The craftsmanship is otherwise exactly as you would expect with exceptional liability. The Guitar has just been professionally set up. I purchased this guitar from the family of an older gentleman who had a large collection of Master built, fender, and Gibson custom shop guitars. They said they have the COA somewhere. When I get it, I will ship it with the guitar. I was able to procure a replacement COA from the Fender custom shop which will be included.
Ships in a tweed, G & G case with plush lining.
