Up for sale is this fabulous 2008 Gibson SJ-200. The SJ-200 is widely known as the “King of the Flat Tops”—and for good reason! This particular example sound wonderful, with deep fundamental low end balanced by the right amount of mids and highs. This is the classic “Gibson” acoustic sound, to be sure!

The guitar was manufactured in 2008. It has spent most of its time in the case. There are only very minor cosmetic imperfections. Cosmetically speaking it is in better shape that many “new” guitars that have been demoed by customers in big guitar stores.

An under saddle pickup has been installed. There is an output jack at the bottom. In my opinion, this adds to the value and usefulness of the guitar. It comes housed in the original case. The sign is not included. Nothing else is included except what you see in the photos (guitar and original case). The saddle looks to be bone and has plenty of height. The action and playability are very good. The strings are easy to fret up and down the neck and playability is very good. The saddle still looks to have full factory height, so there is room to adjust down the road. The only “flaw” of note is a very thin hairline split along the very edge of the sound hole. It has been sealed up with a small amount of water based wood glue. It is simply cosmetic in character.
