1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in beautiful cherry burst finish.
This one is largely original with small changes to the strap buttons and the bridge. The original bridge is included but was slightly collapsed so I installed a gold plated modern Gibson replacement. The original bridge also has replacement saddles.
It has the wide 1 and 11/16 inch Gibson nut width. Medium-slim neck profile.
Overall, it shows typical wear for a guitar of its age. One pick up ring screw is missing. The main cosmetic flaw relates to the separation on the top of the headstock along the seam of the three-piece neck. This has been repaired and filled as best as it can be. It doesn’t look pretty, but it is completely solid and there’s no structural issue. There is also some finish chipping by the neck joint on one side, but there’s no neck joint crack, separation, break, etc. it’s just chipped finish.
It’s pretty average as far as goes for these years. It’s not a feather but very few Les Paul Customs are.
Comes in a more recent branded hardshell case. The case smells like cigarette smoke as does the guitar
