1971 Martin D-41. One of the nicest guitars you could buy from Martin at the time. The guitar is truly a closet queen. I don’t think I’ve had a vintage in nicer condition than this one. It’s recently had neck reset and bridge reglue. A new saddle has been cut with plenty of height. There’s some very minor handling Where and some minor fret wear on the first few fret but nothing to write home about. I would definitely put this squarely in the near mint category. Since reverb only has a choice between mint and “excellent.” I’m opting for the latter to be on the conservative side given the different ways folks use these terms. The guitar has no cracks or crack repairs. It does have some very minor finish checking in a few places. Like nearly all pickguards used by Martin in these years, the original guard on this one curled up and came unglued. So it was given a proper replacement.

In addition to being a fabulous looking instrument in amazing condition, it is also an exceptional sounding vintage Martin. There’s plenty of low end without being overly “boomy.”

It comes the original Victoria luggage case. At this point, Martin had switched to the “plastic” cases, but it seems that the higher end models (like this one) came with a case upgrade from the dealers. Ships worldwide. I won’t falsify customs forms, so please don’t ask. This is a vintage guitar shop, not a smuggling operation :-).
