1965 Gibson Country Western with full 1964 specifications, including the wide nut (not the skinny or transitional neck). There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
This is the adjustable bridge version with the ceramic saddle, which is far preferable to the wooden saddles found on some examples from this period. The guitar is in very good vintage condition. It shows some marks and minor playing wear, consistent with normal use. It is a used guitar and should be expected to show honest signs of age, but there is no abuse. The guitar has a balanced, full sound with good projection. The neck angle is solid and does not require a reset. Action is good, and playability is very comfortable throughout the neck. The bridge is lifting slightly, but on the adjustable bridge models this is largely a cosmetic issue. Sound transfer occurs through the adjustable saddle posts, which are anchored to the bridge plate, rather than relying on the bridge footprint itself as with a fixed saddle design. The guitar sounds strong and healthy in its current condition.
