This guitar comes to us from the bench of Masterbuilder Dave Brown, one of the custom shop‘s newest masterbuilder.

Although 1962 Stratocasters typically had rosewood fretboards, Maple cap examples do exist (although quite rare). This one has a maple cap neck like those rare originals. Lovely flame maple on this one!
The gold hardware is an added bonus.
The previous owner also purchased an anodized gold pickguard for use on this instrument, which I will include for free. It looks pretty killer when installed—I am surprised the custom shop didn’t opt for it.
Cosmetically the guitar is in mint condition. It has only slight evidence of previous use (it’s a relic from the factory after all!).
The wiring on this one give you a single volume that controls all three pickups. The secone tone knob is also a ”master tone” adjusting the amount of the treble in all three positions. The third ”tone” pot is actually a blend which allows you to combine the neck and bridge positions together. Think David Gilmour. It has always been a mystery to me why Fender didn’t find a way to do this earlier. It really expands the tonal pallet!
