1950 Martin 00-17. These are great guitars! They are also quite affordable compared to their bigger brothers in the Martin lineup from the same years.
They are all-mahogany except for the Rosewood bridge, fretboard and headstock veneer.
This one has a very comfortable, - neck characteristic of the era. The tuners are original, except that the buttons are starting to crumble. Two have been re-buttoned.
The guitar has just been professionally serviced and set up. An extra strap button had been installed at the heel (now removed). Overall, it’s in fine condition for its age. The main issue this guitar had was that the bridge had failed. It had cracked it down the middle, as had the bridge plate. I had my luthier repair the guitar top near the bridge area and install a new bridge plate and bridge. It has a new compensated saddle with a decent amount of height. So you can lower the action if you want, but it’s nice as is. If I were keeping it, I would swap out the original Ebony nut for a bone one. But that’s up to you.
ships in a gig bag. Will be packed with exceptional care.
